This concert will feature the American Premiere of International Composer, Catherine Likhuta’s Timpani Concerto, Storm Chasers with her in attendance. We will also give the world premiere of Kian Ravaei’s, Prima Vera. He is the winner of the NMSU Young Composer Initiative, an international composition contest in its second year. The program will also include the world premiere of Dr. Rhonda Taylor’s saxophone concerto, Tarot Suite.

All composers will be in attendance making this a truly international event and featuring two of NMSU’s music faculty in performance as well.
