New Mexico State University provides students opportunities in and out of the classroom to grow as a singer and to experience different types of vocal ensemble experiences, from solos, duets and trios, to larger groups.  All of NMSU’s vocal ensembles vary in time commitment and are open to university students from all majors.  Whether you are a beginning singer or one with a wealth of experiences we welcome you to join us! If you have any questions, contact Dr. Sarah Daughtrey, Voice Area Coordinator, at sdaughtr@nmsu.edu

Opera Workshop (MUSC 351) MTh: 4:30 - 5:45

Opera Workshop is an ensemble course in the Department of Music designed to provide students with opportunities to grow as a performer on stage, as a soloist and/or member of small or large ensembles.  The course involves experiential training in singing on the stage, which encompasses the skills of musical preparation, singing, acting, and stage movement.  The course culminates in performances of solos, scenes or full productions, as participation and circumstances allow.

Enrollment in Opera Workshop requires an audition and is open to all NMSU students.
