Holly Dalager
Biography
Holly R. S. Dalager is College Instructor of Oboe in the NMSU Department of Music. She has a Bachelor of Music in Oboe Performance and a Master of Music degree in Woodwinds, both from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. She performed with many groups around the Twin Cities area, including the Children's Theater Company, Harmonia Mundi, St. Paul Civic Orchestra and more.
For the last 30 years, Ms. Dalager has played with the Austin (MN) Symphony Orchestra where she was oboe concerto soloist three times. She also taught piano and oboe lessons and performed extensively in the Southeast Minnesota area, including with the Rochester Symphony. Her handmade oboe reeds are used by countless oboists.
Ms. Dalager is a new resident of Las Cruces where she enjoys playing oboe in the El Paso Symphony Orchestra and performing in concerts on the NMSU campus, including with the faculty woodwind quintet. She is also enjoying the weather and the Organ Mountains.
