Professor Jeff Lee teaches Sound & Music Technology coursework and is the Technical Director of the NMSU Atkinson Recital Hall. Mr. Lee also manages 640-680 musical productions each year including student recitals, professional symphonies, chamber ensembles, dance troupes & ballets, outside events & presentations, and manages student workers to help run the venue.
Previously Mr. Lee was a Lecturer of Music Industry at Troy University, teaching upper division Pro Tools and audio techniques and live concert production skills. Lee also co-produced the Troy University American Popular Music Ensemble (“POPulus”) with Robert W. Smith and served as co-executive producer of recording projects on behalf of Troy University’s Ilium Records.
Lee has also been a music arranger, composer, musical director, sound designer, production associate, and sound engineer on Broadway (earned Tony & Emmy Awards), Super Bowl halftime entertainment, the Queen of England’s Royal Variety Hour TV broadcast, opening and closing ceremonies for the Summer and Winter Olympics, NBA All-Star Entertainment, the World Expo, the Global Fortune 500 International Forum, & Fugi TV in Japan.
For many years, Jeff Lee was involved as a show designer, music composer & arranger, & instructor for Drum Corps International ensembles such as the Blue Devils, the Santa Clara Vanguard, Pacific Crest, Renaissance Vanguard (JPN), Chubu (JPN), Rainbow Sounds (JPN), Jubal (NL), & Star Riders (DE).
