Music department professors Jim Shearer and Laura Spitzer are pleased to announce the release of a new digital single on Summit Records. This new work for tuba and piano by noted composer Alvin Singleton, titled “Topless,” was premiered in Albuquerque and Santa Fe in late January of 2023, followed by the creation of this commercial recording. The piece is now available for digital download or streaming, and Memphis musician and producer Tom Clary, working with Las Cruces artist and former NMSU professor Louis Ocepek, also created an exciting companion video.
