Dr. Randi Bolding is Director of Choral Studies at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM, where she conducts the University Chamber Singers, Statesmen and Masterworks Chorus. Additionally she teaches graduate and undergraduate choral literature, undergraduate and graduate conducting, as well as choral methods courses.
In addition to conducting and teaching, Dr. Bolding is an active adjudicator and clinician for regional and state organizations from the middle/junior high school to the collegiate level. Dr. Bolding has worked with ensembles and presented at state conventions in Virginia, Iowa, Florida, Arizona, Arkansas, Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, North Carolina and Texas. She speaks on topics such as developing tone in the men’s chorus, teaching high school at-risk populations, building secondary choral program, selecting repertoire, and developing sight-reading curriculums.
She holds degrees from Michigan State University (B.M. in Music Education and D.M.A. in Choral Conducting) as well as from University of Texas at Austin (M.M. in Choral Conducting.) Through all of her accomplishments she is most proud to bear the titles of cancer Survivor and Mommy.
