Edith & F.E. Atkinson Recital Hall
The pinnacle of the Music Center is the Atkinson Recital Hall where many concerts and special events take place all year long. Several major ensembles that make their homes here are Las Cruces Symphony, Dona Ana Lyric Opera, Mesilla Valley Concert Band, and New Horizons Band. This is of course in addition to the many student ensembles here at NMSU.
Firkins Fine Arts Outdoor Stage
This is a recent addition to the Music Center that was made possible through the generosity of Bruce and Jan Firkins. The stage is located on the north side of the Music Center, facing University Ave.
Listening Library / Media Lab
The Listening Library/Media Lab at the Music Center has received a major upgrade with the donation of several computers through the Information and Communications Technology Department at NMSU. These computers are equipped with MIDI keyboards and have the latest versions of Finale and other music programs. This lab is used extensively by the music technology course.
