Choirs

New Mexico State University provides students opportunities in and out of the classroom to grow as a singer and as a member of a larger community.  The NMSU Choirs are under the direction of Dr. Randi Bolding, Director of Choral Studies. The ensembles vary in time commitment and are open to university students from all majors.  Whether you are a beginning singer or one with a wealth of experiences we welcome you to join us!

The University Chamber Singers is an auditioned elite mixed ensemble of 16-24 singers performing music from all eras and genres.  The majority of its membership is derived from music majors.  University Chamber Singers perform many times each semester and participate in recruitment tours throughout the year.  In addition to the formal concert season they participate in many community appearances which may consist of sporting events, banquets and receptions.  The choir has toured internationally to Spain, Germany, Austria, England and Italy. They have been invited to perform on three different occasions for the Southwestern Division Conference of the American Choral Directors Association.  Scholarships are available on a competitive basis for this ensemble.
